Beyond Benign

Beyond Benign - Green Chemistry Education

Beyond Benign About Us

This 300 page site is a platform for Beyond Benign, an education non-profit, to provide resources, tools and training for integrating Green Chemistry in K-12 and Higher Ed curriculum. The site includes:

  • Over 2oo downloadable lessons for educators on Green Chemistry and Sustainable Science
  • An archive of webinars
  • A event calendar for upcoming conferences, training workshops and online courses
  • A lead teacher resource database
  • A blog
  • Over 80 pages of content

Beyond Benign’s previous site was very difficult to navigate and to add or revise content. We created a clear information architecture that makes it easy for their various audiences to find what they are looking for. We used enhanced menus, color coding and a well thought out sitemap to accomplish this objective. Beyond Benign staff are now able to update the various content areas of the site themselves, whether it is new lessons, new staff, webinars or calendar events. The website can now stay up-to-date with fresh content.

Celebrate Newton

Celebrate Newton is Newton Community Education’s annual juried crafts fair. Fair organizers needed to streamline the process of updating the artist gallery and slideshow each year, and make the application process for artists simpler. We redesigned the site to easily generate a beautiful gallery and alphabetical listing of artists and incorporated an online application.

Sunshine on a Brainy Day

Sunshine on a Brainy Day

Our client wanted to tell the story of her experience going through brain surgery via a blog. Her goals were to share her story with family and friends, to be a resource for others, and to raise awareness. She wanted her blog to reflect the sunshine in her life and her feelings of luck and joy. We created a logo and blog for her on wordpress with visually coordinated social media pages. We are looking forward to hearing about the rest of her journey.
